Ma Ki Roti

Program For Rural Women

Skilling And Entrepreneurship

Ma Foundation’s initiative “Ma Ki Roti” focuses on skilling and livelihood programs for impoverished mothers in rural India striving to convert as many of them as possible into mini entrepreneurs! We inspire women reeling under poverty from the remotest parts of India to come together and set up a canteen.

Our women cook and learn basic entrepreneurial skills and sell cooked food in thalis at a subsidised rate to the neediest people in the area.

We are an incubator where at the end of 3 years of funding; women run their own canteen and have a start-up business with their own savings and seed capital.

It is a three-year model.

What began as a single center supporting 12 mothers has grown rapidly in just four years. Today, we have 101 centres across 12 states in India, primarily in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

This expansion has positively impacted over 900 mothers and provided meals to more than 455,000 underprivileged individuals.
